Got My M1A Finished.....Real Close Anyway
Been busier than a one armed paper hanger lately trying to get my M1A dressed up like she needs to be.
A Smith scope mount from NV and a stock from PA lot of aggravation and she's about done.
I have to come up with a way to mount the fake disconnector, but the switch is in place, that's all I lack except going to the range.
She wore that ugly black space age polymer factory stock. She ain't no more This tiger stripe has the circle p stamp and the DoD Eagle

That's a real beauty. The tiger stripe looks awesome. I always have been fond of the elegant design of the M1A/M14. It just looks right.
I got into a M1A binge awhile ago and ended up with 3 of them. One Norinco and the other two built up with all USGI parts on LRB receivers. They are a blast to shoot.

Had it about 2 weeks now, traded an AK, 15 mags and 500 rounds of ammo for it. The AK I traded for about 2 months ago
It had been fired he said 8 times, came with the box and all the paperwork. It was on the factory black plastic stock.
When we going to the range Jeff?

Agreed, wood looks soooo much better on these rifles. Have fun with your new rifle. I think you're really going to like shooting it.
Bottom one is my latest M1A, a heavy pattern barrel that Ted Brown installed & headspaced for me on a new LRB receiver with new TRW bolt
