That pic could almost be from another country. This is a pic about 20 years old from Zimbabwe, which used to be Rhodesia.

IIRC the govt of Zimbabwe is asking for help from white farmers they kicked out to teach folks how to raise food.

I've heard that the people entering the shelters are being searched and are forced to give up their guns.

I guess there is no right to RKBA after all...

I keep telling you people, and nobody is listening. You have nothing, absolutely nothing, that the government cannot take away from you anytime they damn well please. I read one story of a recon Marine who went voluntarily to assist in N.O., with his own personal gear but in uniform. After several days, he had to leave but when he tried he was accused of being a "looter" and stripped of his gear.....by the National Guard unit he had been helping! 6-8000 dollars worth of M1A scout rifle, Springfield 1911 loaded, personal property body armor w/ sapi plates, web gear, NVG's....and his military ID. He was told by the SGTMAJ of the MP battalion he was helping if he would forget about the gear they wouldn't press charges for looting. Oh, yeah, he'd taken some med supplies from a walgreens to help people and had some jewlery (not much) they'd taken from real looters. The guy telling him he be charged with looting (while stealing his gear) is a lousiana state trooper. Oh, they took his military ID card too, which is a violation of the UCMJ in and of itself, never mind extortion.
If they can do that to another service member, why do you think they won't do it to anybody?

My mom is Rhodesian. My uncle was a Sealous scout. After the war most moved to South Africa but things quickly went to shit there too. Sometimes forcing a change overnight is a bad thing. Its too bad they had to destroy the strongest economies in Africa. They could have ended aparthied and still had a strong economy. That's socialism for ya. They give a guy that cant read a farm and the next thing you know everybody is starving...........

They were searched befrom they let them off of the busses here. I was told by a local deputy that helped with the searches, that the folks that had permits will be returned their firearms when they leave the shelter for good.
