The milled receiver was offered by FAC. Helena Arms offered a rifle built on it for about a year, until the Assault Weapon Ban. FAC went bankrupt and the remaining receivers were acquired by Century Arms. It took about two years to sell off the last of them. Aluminum, glued and screwed. The rifles built by Helena, I seem to remember Springfield Arms imported them, had some problems and lots of complaints. None of the HK/CETME scope mounts worked on them, but they did have a built in milled Weaver rail. My understanding is Dan Coonan had left FAC long before the company folded.

It looks like no company has actually milled one, but has any of the WECSOG/BIY crew done it? This makes me want to do it, but it would require reverse engineering the receiver dimensions.

So do any of our machinist friends have any tips on reverse engineering one?

I'm working on a CETME kit with a Cast stainless receiver, I read good things about it, I hope it turns out well.

By welding rails on the standard HK receiver, you can get a more rigid receiver. This you will find on the PSG1's

The one in the green is the forged/milled Aluminum one, check out the top rail too.

Is that a Fabian Bros muzzle brake you have on the century receiver one?
