"COOL" idea!

At Tyndall AFB, Florida in the late 70's, I (a lowly crew chief) unloaded many a travel pod when the pilots go back from their weekend cross-country flights.
One had ears of corn, another had a load of Coors beer (this was when it couldn't be sold east of the Mississippi....) and another came from New England with a pod full of lobsters.......

Those ossifers had one heck of a party......!

Reminds me of that warm military issue beer we used to get.....cases of it...looking at each other in 100+ temperature, then this warrant officer had one of those light bulbs appear over his head like in the cartoons...we loaded the rocket pod tubes with the warm beer that slid perfectly down the 2.75" tubes after setting the detents so they wouldn't slide out, made a quick flight up to 12,000 ft. with a quick decent....AHHHHHHH ice cold beer!

Now THAT is good-old American ingenuity and inventiveness!
