will premiere on Thursday, April 7th at 9pm. The documentary will repeat that evening at 10pm, 12am and 1am.

DECEMBER 21, 2012…In case you haven’t heard…that’s the day ‘life as we know it’ is going to end.

It’s no secret that many people are afraid of what might happen at the end date of the Mayan calendar. But what isn’t known is how people are preparing for what they believe is the end of the world. ‘Apocalypse 2012’ follows the quirky and remarkable journey of fascinating people around the world who are discovering their own ways to protect themself from what they believe is coming on December 21, 2012. From building survival communities at the top of mountains to constructing underground condominiums in missile silos deep underground, people are getting ready. As a result, the business of Armageddon is flourishing. And according to psychologists, a surprising number of mainstream people are buying into it because it so forcefully underscores the turmoil of the times. As well as observing the characters who are laying the groundwork for that fateful day and those investing in it, the documentary also looks into the psychology behind the 2012 apocalyptic movement, examining where their beliefs come from and what people get out of it. Are their action based on fear alone? Or is there more to the end of the world hype?

Black Blade: Might be interesting although I think that CNBC will probably focus on the crazy cult stuff rather than the prepper/survivalist lifestyles. Still, you never know and there may be some good ideas or just some common sense. The show will be on CNBC tonight at 9PM Eastern Time.

My take on this....My calendar was a runnning out at the end of 2010. I bought a new one for 2011.

Im sure if the Mayan culture was up and running today, they would have a new calendar out soon.

However Thanks for that Blade, I do believe in the threat of the "New world order" so I will view this with interest. I hope they broadcast it on the Pearl channel outta Hong Kong.

I thought it was a big let down. It was mostly "new age" cultists looking for UFOs and unlikely supernatural events. Not much of anything about actual prepping supplies or skills training. Pretty much a useless program of NBC that was essentially saying "look at the nuts we filmed" for this show.

Black Blade and others. Survival schools are taking off big time.
Tables advertising them are showing up more and more at some gun shows I have been too.
Gun shooting and gun safety courses are blooming, even down here in our small community.
Their are people out their who have never fired a weapon, never built a fire.
You youngguns put an ad in the paper. Get your instructor certification.
Every time I go too our small range. Their is a guy their teaching people the proper use and safety of a weapon.
They must bring their own weapon and ammo.
$25 a person times 6 or 7 people two times or more a week. Do the math.
Private lessons much higher.
Get insurance.
Start small then expand too other survival skills.
Make yourself some money in these hard times.

Well it sounds like I should be gald I missed it. I figured they would show some hippy ass prepper and make them look nuts I was just hopeing that I might be able to see something I may have overlooked
