Tanvil - it is also interesting to note that some may not realize they have a food allergy until they are eating out of their food storage and eating a lot of an item. The adage of eat what you store and store what you eat is a good thing to live by. 
Like you I would hate to have someone in need of food and for me to have nothing of substance to offer. With that said though i try to store what my family will eat (my family is primary), and others are a secondary. There are some items that might not be favorites, but it makes for a balanced storage plan. I tell my kids if they are hungry some of the items they might not care for will suddenly taste good. Luckily I'm not as picky about eating things as they seem to be
