In Brazil almost no one has a central hot water heater. Most people just have an electric instant hot water heater built into their shower head. In the kitchen a few people have another instant hot water heater so that they don’t have to wash dishes with cold water. However, at 5000 watts per heater they use a lot of electricity. (Imagine 4 microwaves running at once, or 50 100 watt light bulbs all on at the same time.) In our house I wanted to have a central hot water heater and hot and cold water at all plumbing fixtures.
