Nice job. I need to build some nice heavy duty shelving like that. Mine is too light to hold any serious ammo, therefore I've got stacks of ammo cans on the floor. Seems that the can I'm looking for is always on the bottom of a stack. lol

Same here Chief..
Damn ammo was here a minute ago, where the hell did it go? :) Black Blade. I have been thinking of an outside shed for storage.. Have one, but it is full.. Down here in the swamp, our problem is humidity. Would probably have to put a small A.C. unit in for sure. What do you plan to stop humidity problems? |
Black Blade--how in the hell did you get that safe down there? That is a basement isn't it?
|
No humidty here in the western desert. This is in a workshop. The safe was delivered and then bolted down in the shop and a room walled in, roof put on, door plus frame and lock added and then shelves built. Took about a day to get stuff together and complete. Total cost under $300 to put together.

I can relate, I think if I put 1 more round on the pile,,,, it ,,,Will,,,, be going throught the floor any second now!!!!
I don't have much ammo, it's only slightly >6' deep :wow:,,, but it should be enough to tie me over for the next couple days anyways!! :brows: :2guns: Don't mind my messy reloading bench,, BTW!!!! |
twa.. Yo my Bro. Stop...
My God. I am getting old and my eye-site is going. But...
Damn dude, is that floor sinking or is it my eyes. :) We both have the same damn problem. One more .22 round and I will be picking the stuff up off the damn floor. :) Yeah. Black Blade.. Anyone wants too test the coating on their weapon, Dura coat, Joes coat, Paint, whatever.. ?? Send your weapon down, leave it in my shed for a week. We have critters here eat damn metal.. Eat the wood for desert. "For a simple $10 donation too Gunco.. Send your weapon too Tim.. Want that battlefield look. Guaranteed rust and corrosion. We will make your AK look like the Russian Army dragged it with a tank. Our operators are standing by, first 100 callers get a 10% discount, shipping not included, act now." |
I DO cringe just a little bit every time I add anouther box!!! 4th Could be sagging just a bit??? I could be picking mine off the ground 2' below the floor soon, never know!!
|
Nice job BB... been wanting to do something similar in my garage.
I know the felling twa, i used to have all my stuff up on the third floor of my place in VT till i noticed the flooring between the joists was starting to sag a little. the thought of all my ammo an guns taking a trip to the basement the fast way was enough to convince me to relocate to the cellar. It wasn't until i actually hauled everything down there that i realized how much everything i accumulated weighed. |
I think you spend more time drinking BEER in there!
