It is those masses of people that will not care for themselves we may have to worry about. When everything you have looks good to them after they are scratching around to survive.
The government won't be handing out nice free food to them.

The best part of this is that it DOES NOT require a mass amount of capital to begin. Simply, go to costco and buy an extra case or two of canned food, tuna, meat, milk and water.
If you do this every time you shop(doesnt have to be at costco either) at the end of 3 months, you'll have plenty of food and wwater to get you thru a week or two of tough times.
Everyone should also have(already) a WELL STOCKED first aid kit, fire extinguisher and matches, candles, batteries and an am/fm radio in the hole.
I pick up an extra couple of cans of vienna sausages, sardines, crackers and, BEER every trip to the store. The house is looking like a store now. AMMO BOOZE & FOOD.
BEER. One must remember that beer definately has a shelf life. I would recommend that anyone that is serious about survival beer should learn the art of brewing it yourself. It's really not that hard to do.

It really doesn't take that much room to store brewing equipment. Do you have room to store a couple of 5 gallon plastic pails and several cases of reusable bottles?
