Hope for the best and prepare for the worst..

Its funny how people don't prepare for earth quakes when they live in a fault zone or a hurricanes or a tornado.

People on the whole think that the FEMA centers will take care of everything when theres a disaster, we saw how that worked out for the Katrina people.
I think going to a FEMA rescue center has got to be one of the most reckless acts on a person part.

Being able to rely on yourself for the well being of your family is goal for all preparedness plans. You differently don't want to be herded like cattle.

There have already been built compounds in the US for the ones the government knows will wind up needing to be handed a living to. They know it is coming. Fenced in compounds with basic personnel support. Controlled standard living.

Sheeple will get herded into these which have not prepared or stocked up anything. It will be a massive hive of screaming babies with parents not any more capable to handle anything better than they are.

The body of America has a disease. But, the fester of the Democrats and Socialisum might kill the body when it gets attacked by the outside invaders. The US is on the death bed. The specter draws a sword getting ready to strike.

All of these Sheeple look alike too. You pull up next to an SUV full of screaming babies and here comes another SUV next to you on the other side. Look left then look right. But, they look the same!

Lady has a short hair cut. Guy has a little baseball cap on. And, they all have the same STUPID expressions on their faces!!!!!

Yeah, I have seen the Hispanic ones here in Texas. Going down the street with that music that sounds like you at a Circus as loud as they can turn it up. Every songs sounds just like the last one played. Three or more kids screaming their heads off in a row of baby carriers on the back seat. Man what a mess! Imagine 100s of these families scambling for free hand outs at a government compound. Hell on Earth!

We survived the ice storms in Oklahoma last year and I was amazed at the number of people that had NOTHING to eat or drink in their homes. As soon as they lost power they headed for the shelters that were set up, waiting for someone to feed them and provide heat and shelter.

I guess "amazed" is not the correct word. I was raised to be prepared for the worst at any time. We were without power for 13 days. We had heat and food, an outdoor grill. Plenty of water in barrels so we just laid low, out of site and mind and took care of ourselves. That's another reason I like living in the country, had canned goods from the garden, smoked and jerked meat and we even baked our own bread.

One lesson I did take from this was these new stoves with electronic igniters will not light when the electricity is off. They have a valve that shuts the gas off when the power goes down so you can not light them... just a lesson learned.

Yeah, when the Hurrican hit Virginia a few years ago 2003??? I cannot remember the name, but people were out of power for as long as a month here. We lost power for about 8 or 9 days (in our first home) and were just fine. It was fun-we cooked on the grill every night (because our first home was all electric-our current home is gas)
and took care of ourselves on the food that we had inthe freezer/refrigerator.
This was before I had made any preparations for emergency situation.
Of course this was not a worst case scenario, moreso illustrates that people forget how to take care of themselves in our "lavish" society.
heck, an ethiopian could lives for weeks off of what one person discards per day in the country...

I have a couple of friends like that. They only think about today never stocking up. They were standing in them long lines over in Sharpstown to pick up MRes and bottled water. They burned off about a tank of gas sitting in the line.

These folks show up at my place. Their power is out. We were cooking up some Chicken and veges. Had cold beer, wine and, soda pop with a generator going. They were tired of MREs.

We have seen how bad off a lot, or most of the population will be during an attack situation. It is like they never learn from the storms or maybe don't care or, are just STUPID?

So many people believe they are entitled to a living. Some how, the government or fellow citizens will take care of them. To an extent yes, it is good to help out your people in need.

The very most scary part of a real bad kind of attack situation will be these masses of desperate people who think they are entitled to yours. Especially if they are well armed and have high numbers! You can't just call the Police then.

I'm scared as a citizen of the US that WE as the citizens MAKE our government and infrastructure bear the burden of our survival. Is it any wonder that the government is becoming a more invasive facet our lives?
We are, essentially opening the door and inviting them in-giving our rights and privacy away with each disaster.

I'm used to be more scared of looters during the spectre of a natural disaster, but since Katrina I am more frightened of the governments RESPONSE to looters.
I suppose that they consider ANYONE that defends themselves legally a threat, too?

Scary times

That is correct! If the masses of raiders are swarming your place as you are winning laying them down in rows, some will make it to a military or police agency. They will tell them a family in a house over at **** ####### Street is killing off people with assault weapons!!!

Can you guess what would happen next?
