Default Shelf life of Prescription Drugs - A Primer

Shelf life of Prescription Drugs - A Primer
For the survivalist planner this is a critical subject. Yet little discussion or research has been submitted on the WWW survival websites.
Below are some concise and factual sources with information on this critical survival planning subject.

Yeah, I just had this discussion with a Friend and my mother( a retired practicioner) about the shelf life of pharmeceuticals. I used to think that these pharms would CREATE exp dates, so that people would keep buying more.
Nothing could be further from the truth. Most Rx meds have a very short shelf life, much less than generic multi vitamins.

GREAT POST, SCRIBE!!!!

In my advancing years I'm lucky I only have one med I really need, but my wife isn't as lucky. Our insurance company keeps us on a 30-day leash for refills, but our doctor sometimes gets samples left by drug salesmen and passes them on to us. I use a "rotating" system, storing the newest stuff in the freezer, using the older stuff before it expires.

Yea with all the prescription drug laws and regulations on storage and transportation. You have to be just as aware with those as you do with firearm laws. Ridiculous.
