0% upper

ordering a couple of 0% lowers from DSA, has anyone done, or seen done, a incomplete upper

I remember several projects using 0% uppers, I think tannery has a few 80% left, since the upper does not require a FFL, many find it easier to buy them and they usually come with the parts kits anyway.
many used these 0% to make the new M-4 style uppers, it was a along time ago on Roderus or Ar-15.com I believe.
