this is a new TOK 15 upper by MadMachinist here on the site and as you can see he makes a nice looking piece.
this is a GAS OPERATED set up, not blowback and you can taste the difference when you shoot them.
he will make these in flat top or carry handle uppers, i just prefer carry handle.
its very slick and you cant tell this wasnt a store bought upper at all. it uses pps43 mags and has a magwell insert to make them work with the factory mag release. pretty nifty set up!
only took me about 10 minutes to get the magwell adapter in and set and then the upper went right on my DPMS lower set up.
it also fit my TM lowers that i finished out but i had this DPMS set aside for this.
so now lets get to the part every one wants to see and plug in the video.

I've had 7.62X25 ARs for some time. The first was a blowback I got back in 2002 -- I still have that and it's a good work horse. My second was a DI Tok AR with a pistol length system. I got that back in 2005 and it was actually for a version of a Mini-whisper so it was used with hand loads. My new one is the more modern type with the short gas system and it shoots great. I started out with an A2 upper receiver on it but it shot so well I decided to put the DSA blem upper I got (thanks to this site) and added a scope to see what it could really do.
I have not had a chance to shoot it since I added the scope but if it shoots like the mini-whisper it should be one hole groups. I forgot to say the magazine is a CZ-24 that I use for some other rounds based on the 7.62 Tok. One of those rounds is the 22 Reed Express. I use the PPS mags in the blowback version but I do have a PPS magblock for the DI version also.
