Default Best flip up front and rear sights

Hello, I am debating on which stag ar15 to get...I can get them at dealer so I can get a stag with no sights(hence which front and rear sight to get is the best) for 680.00 new or I can get a stag model 2 with a MI flip up rear and a front sight for 703.00 new in box. This price for each rifle isnt much different but I have never had to put on flip up front sights. any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,

John

I would go with the one w/ the flip up sights for $703. The MI flip up sights are around $80 a piece.

I agree, get the one that already has the flip up sights, if you don't like them sell 'em and get what you want later.
The cheapest flip up sights I've seen are about $50 each, and they are most likely very low quaility.

Definitely get with the sights. You can surely get your money out of it if you don't like it. I have seen the MI sight on a couple of rifles and its not horrible. Surely not a Troy, etc..... but completely serviceable as a BUIS.

GG&G has a good deal going on EOTECH right now. I just dressed up my new AR15 with one. They are going for $415 with front & rear site covers installed and a quick mount and detach jig included. Great for 100 meter work.

Wow, that is a good deal. To the OP I have a stag and it came with BUIS, they work, are solid and reliable. If you don't like'em you can easily sell them.

I have three AR's with BUIS's, GG&G, Troy, and MI, all are great, I found the GG&G to lock in the upright position a little tighter, MI are a little "springy" but it stays in place. I have not tried the BUIS's from Magpul, they are relatively "affordable", personally I prefer GG&G becuase they are made right here in my hometown.
