full kits are still sort of an shortage item.

some times JSE has some good kits like RRA and double-star although they are of the more pricey kind.

del-ton has the best prices and is sort of catching up on back orders. if you can stand to wait a month or so. you might try model 1 sales. i bought a bolt from them at about the middle of the obama election panic--got the bolt in about a month. pretty quick service considering the panic was in full swing at the time.

to build today your still likely to have to get an upper and bcg at one place a lower and lpk at another and so on--but at least you can get it all. where before some items were OOS everywhere.

Double Star from JSE isn't that expensive at all. I have one of the upper from Double Star. I bought it at a gunshow in Chantilly, VA. They had plenty of kits at somewhat reasonable prices.

Fellow who went with me bought a kit with M-4 clone 16 inch barrel with YHM Lightweight forend, M4 Stock, Low Profile Gas Block, Stock Bolt, two stage trigger lower parts kit, and 10 30 round mags, for $890 from them in April. He asked the vendor what he wanted and the guy actually pulled all the parts from the bin. He got home and assembled the lower in 30 mins and out shooting the next day.

Of course, I'm an idiot so I bought one of my 16 inch upper from everyone piece by piece and assembled it over 1 year period.

STAG stripped lowers are the best for the price now. Internals are around. Rock River Arms uppers are the best. Butt stocks are everywhere. AIMsurplus has a good deal on magazines.

DPMS has complete kits less the lower.

AVOID ANYTHING BUSHMASTER!

Here is a link to take you to a list of AR15 parts kits.

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

This is a good link for ammo & other things related to firearms.
A wise man would put this in there favorites.

kits are getting back to the market.

jse sales has some for $440 now along with several vendors are in the $440-$460 for the basic stuff.

barrels are still shortage and high. but i don't know how much longer the inflated prices on barrels will hold due to the sour economy.
