Best Barrel buy?

Hi,
Can someone tell me where the best deal on a regular FAL Metric chrome lined barrel is now? Does SARCO still have them? Thanks!

The SARCO 20 Sep SGN ad shows the FAL chrome-lined barrels at $149.50 to $169.80 each, in new condition, # FAL162, FAL163, FAL164, FAL166 Call Cholly and ask him if he still has some to sell (908-647-3800).

Thanks Gentlemen,
The reason for my ignorance is that I am a Merchant Marine using the ships Internet and almost all of the gun sites are blocked! Why I get this site I do not know??? Could someone give me the Ph# for APEX Gun Parts? I have built an R1 before on an Imbel reciever and was amazed at the accuracy of the rifle! I guess that was a used barrel also! Thanks again!

I should have said this in my other post, the Apex barrels are not complete.

They are stripped. No gas block or sling swivel.

Just wanted to inform you before you purchased without seeing the picture on their site.

Yes, the imposed political correctness is stupid as usual but what can you do except let you're feelings known! The phone works but sometimes there is a lack of contact info. I've been working on M-14's lately and just got back to the FALS and alot of things have changed in the market in the last five years!!! Thanks again for the help!

Hi,
As an update on this. I called Apex and they did not seem to knowledgeable about what they had exactly so that turned me off. I then called SARCO and ended up spending about $300 on Fal parts one of them being a new FN closed ear chrome-lined bipod cut barrel. I want to shorten it to 18" and add a short flash hider to make it a little more compact. I have a full size Austrian STG-58 on an Imbel reciever already. Thanks again for the help!

You could use a proxy server, like rtunnel.net or something...
