I want to get a spotting scope but not break the bank. What would be a decent scope set me back? I cant imagine shooting at anything more than 300 Yds.
It's a 25x60, model 25t. Don't remember what I paid but it couldn't have been all that much 'cause at the time I had three hungry children and a wife at home.

I'm not saying buy it from them, but I got this Ncstar one and it works well out to 200 yards and the price is good. Best I can suggest for low cost. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

An absolutely awesome spoting scope for the price. More scope than you need @ 100 yds but @ 300yds and beyond it's a beautiful performer - it's all you'll ever need. Google it for reviews.
For something for 100 yd range, I use this spiffy compact Bushnell. Excellent optics, nicely compact and a lower price. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Bought one of those NC-Star Spotting scope for $59.00. It works OK. It has a slight ghost around image beyond half way in zoom. Image is somewhat green and not exactly great for low light. Mine has been dropped by my 4 year old twice. It works well enough to see where all my shots are at 150 yards on a target.
Impulse purchase at a gun show. It works far far far better than expected. I do have to admit, I can see more clearly with NIKON scope, but that NIKON scope isn't $60. I wanted something my daughters could bang it around watching cows. They like watching cows on telescope for some odd reason. It's this one....

I would recommend it, if you're ok without brilliant optics.
