    Postak About 36,000 registered guns unaccounted for in D.C.

    As D.C. prepares to begin accepting applications for some handgun permits, police canāt find tens of thousands of handguns already registered in the city. Should we trust the D.C. government to fairly implement a new registration program when they cannot competently run the old one?

    BIG surprise here. Perhaps this was the reason Fenty fought so hard to keep guns out? Cover one HUGE embarrasing failure with another?
