Now that the Alabama legislative session has come to an end, please take the time to thank your State Representative for their support on House Bill 362, Alabamaâs âWorkplace Protectionâ bill. HB 362, sponsored by State Representative Craig Ford (D-28), would have protected your right to lawfully transport and store firearms in a privately-owned and locked motor vehicle while parked in publicly accessible parking lots controlled by your employer or a business you frequent. While your contacts and phone calls to your Representatives helped ensure the billâs passage in the House without the railroad exemption, the Senate failed to give its final approval.
