Ark. House OKs bill sealing concealed-carry list
A measure that would keep secret the list of Arkansans licensed to carry concealed handguns sailed through the House on Friday, after one lawmaker said it was ‚atrocious‚ of newspapers to publish the information. The House voted 98-1 on Friday in favor of Rep. Randy Stewart‚s bill, which would exempt the release of the names of people with concealed-carry permits under the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act. Only Rep. Lindsley Smith, D-Fayetteville, voted against the measure.
