Postak California: Ammunition restriction bill on governor's desk

A bill that would require buyers of handgun ammunition to leave thumbprints and detailed personal information with registered ammo sellers, as well as put restrictions on online bullet sales, is sitting on Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's desk.

Yikes! This would also ban mail order sales of any .22 ammo or handgun ammo unless it is sent to a dealer. And then you'd still need to sign it out and provide a thumb print, just like a criminal.

If you are in California use the link above to email your stance to the Guvernator quickly. This will become law if not vetoed on OCT 11th. I do believe if passed it would not go into effect until Jan 1 of 2010 though.

Yep this will certainly suck!
Another stupid cali dem who thinks criminals buy their guns and ammo from the legal sources and so how this great law will stop them and all associated crime.

yep that is a fine way to protect the public from crime! removing the ammo from citizens is disarming the citizen! a disarmed citizen can't protect himself from armed gangs that brings their guns and ammo from mexico!

No, No, No.... the guns all go to mexico... Now Mexicans will have to buy their ammo in Arizona and Texas.
