On Tuesday, the state Senate Public Safety Committee was expected to vote on two pro-gun bills, SB 313 and SB 404, and one anti-gun resolution, SJR 10. SB 313 failed to be reported by committee by a 2 to 4 vote and SB 404 was withdrawn by the author and was not heard by the committee. The NRA is expecting SB 313 to be reintroduced and SB 404 to be brought up again at a later date. Please continue to check your e-mails for updates on these pro-gun bills. Unfortunately, SJR 10 did pass in the committee by a 4 to 2 vote and could be heard on the state Senate floor as early as tomorrow. Please continue to call AND e-mail your state Senator and urge him or her to OPPOSE SJR 10. SJR 10 is nothing but a unsubstantive resolution based upon on the issues surrounding the Obama administration and the āFast and the Furiousā fiasco.
