News reports indicate that the U.S. House of Representatives may consider legislation next week to which an amendment reforming Washington, D.C.âs restrictive gun laws would likely be offered. The billâH.R. 157, the District of Columbia Voting Rights Act, introduced by the Districtâs anti-gun delegate, Eleanor Holmes Nortonâproposes that the city be authorized a vote in the United States House of Representatives.
