Postak D.C.: Commission clears the way for guns

A new amendment allows D.C. residents to register firearms at police stations, seemingly clearing the current de facto ban for would be gun owners. The D.C. Zoning Commission voted unanimously Thursday night to approve an emergency action that would allow firearm retail businesses to operate at "District law enforcement or licensing agencies." This rulemaking takes effect immediately, a zoning office spokesperson told WTOP.

There's still no FFL doing transfers in DC, so this accomplishes nothing.

If I read this right, anybody can now apply for an FFL and use their local copshop as the business address. Wonder what rent will be?

'Register firearms at the local police station' sounds hauntingly familiar.
The police agencies have been selling guns to mexico for years, I guess they are looking to expand their market.
