Delaware Senate Votes to Defund Gun Buyback Program
 

Yesterday, the Delaware Senate defeated Senate Bill 204, legislation to renew the state-funded gun “buyback" program.  Misnamed since we do not buy firearms from the government, this program gives away taxpayer dollars to police and community groups in the name of crime reduction.  Many thanks to state Senator Dave Lawson (R-15) who led the charge in helping defeat SB 204 by a 13 to 8 vote.
