Postak Florida: Governor signs bills prohibiting raids on Right-to-Carry fund

Lawmakers in search of spare change now are prevented from raiding a trust fund linked to the state's concealed weapons permitting program. Gov. Charlie Crist has signed into law a bill (SB 1158) that prohibits lawmakers from tapping into the fund, which covers the cost of the concealed weapons permitting program. The measure was a top priority of the National Rifle Association.

Good news. Short of reading the article.
Being a CCW holder here in the State of Florida this is good news. The original cost years ago was??? close too $170? As the permit program made money. It was supposed to go to safety training and reducing the cost of obtaining a CCW..
This shows what a combined peaceful protest by gun owners can do, to protest the illegal actions of our Goverment. Good for those who E-Mailed the Governor. Thanks to this forum I did. It worked.
