Georgia: Jackson County Board of Commissioners Vote Against Discharge Ban

Due to your calls and e-mails, the Jackson County Board of Commissioners unanimously voted down a poorly written discharge ban proposal on Monday, June 20. The proposed ordinance would have prohibited the discharge of any type of firearm for private land owners on less than ten acres in Jackson County, except in defense of life or property. Thank you to all of the NRA members who contacted the commissioners urging them to oppose the firearm discharge ordinance.
