Georgia Senate President Pro Tempore David Shafer (R-48) was given the Defender of Freedom Award by the NRA Institute for Legislative Action.  Senator Shafer is an "A+" rated state legislator by the NRA Political Victory Fund and one of the nation's strongest champions of the Second Amendment.
