Vermont gun control advocates have invited a Harvard professor to discuss "gun safety," and event organizers have gone so far as to politicize the tragic shooting of Arizona U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords in their push for mandatory storage laws in Vermont. Dr. David Hemenway, who they proclaim is the nation's leading expert on firearm death and injury in their press release, will be on hand to equate teen suicides with mandatory storage laws currently being introduced in the Vermont Legislature.
