Handguns wrongly banned to those under 21

Eighteen year olds are considered adults and therefore should be treated as such.When U.S. citizens turn 18, they are allowed to vote and to fight and die for our country, but yet they are not allowed to buy handguns.This makes absolutely no sense.

agreed. as an 18 year old resident of alabama i recently found out that i can legally open carry a handgun without a permit but not purchase one or ammunition for a handgun. what kinda sense does that make?

I remember coming home on leave from the Marine Corps in 1979 and having to take my mom to the store with me to buy .22's. How rediculous is that?
