The Illinois House of Representatives failed to hold a follow-up vote on the concealed-carry gun law this week, despite strong support for the bill from gun enthusiasts and Second Amendment advocates.Still, representatives of the National Rifle Association say they are âcautiously optimisticâ that the new law will have enough support to be approved the next time a vote is taken. The House could vote on the matter again as early as this fallâs veto session.
