2011 has been an interesting legislative session in Indiana with many surprises and outcomes yet to be known. The current stalemate in Indianaâs House of Representatives has held up progress on a wide variety of bills, including four NRA-backed gun bills that were already passed in the state Senate. These four pro-gun bills have been awaiting committee assignments for over a month, while the House Leadership made attempts to finish business on legislation originating in their chamber. Thankfully, these important gun bills have been assigned to their House committees and may soon be scheduled for hearings.
