Indiana: Preemption Improvement Legislation and Transport Permit Reform Bill Still on
On Thursday, February 10, the Indiana Senate approved the Firearm Preemption bill, Senate Bill 292, on Second Reading. This legislation avoided two potential poison pill amendments and the bill now awaits Third Reading in the Senate before moving to the House. SB 292 could be brought up as soon as Monday, February 14. Senate Bill 506, legislation to remove the ‚transportation permit‚ requirement, is also expected to be brought up for Second Reading as early as Monday for Second Reading. Please contact your state Senator and respectfully urge him or her to continue supporting pro-firearm freedom legislation and help pass both SB 292 and SB 506.
