Earlier today, the state Senate voted 30-18 to establish a mourning dove hunting season in Iowa. This legislation, Senate File 464, passed despite the heavy opposition of groups such as the Human Society of the United States (HSUS) trying to push their radical anti-hunting/animal rights agenda. Even in light of this strong support in the Senate, it is critical that you contact your state Representative NOW and urge him or her to bring dove hunting to the Hawkeye State. Rest assured that the anti-hunting crowd is more motivated than ever to act after their defeat in the Senate.
