Postak L.A. Mayor Pushes New Gun Laws

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa on Thursday unveiled plans to target gangs and guns -- including confiscating cars used in gang-related crimes -- with a series of new city ordinances.The mayor proposed giving landlords the power to evict tenants convicted of using and possessing illegal weapons and ammunition. And he promised to push other new laws to regulate the purchase of ammunition and storage of weapons.

i've worked as a manager for apartments. hmmm, don't know if thats the right person to be evicting gang members with illegal weapons.

and i'm NOT the usual property manager, either ... ;-)

yep, LA has a problem. As will many places, for the same reasons.
and your point that there is some blanket solution to all this... is well taken.

Managers evicting gang members, who have probably re-armed, makes about much sense as his dumba$$ laws he is proposing!

But then again he thinks ICE should lay off the illegals in his city because the are a value to the city and the USA. Loser!!!!

i couldn't understand at the time why my mother refused
to relocate with my father to southern california, from northern virginia.

then we got there and enjoyed the sunshine and just forgot about it.

it took me until i was 20 or so, and i finally realized the the Eagle's song
was a huge warning. I fled for NW Arkansas, and have slowly made
my way to parents original midwest, over the past 23 years.

i got out in '84, and that was just in time.

LA is a good 'pre-view' of
where this country is heading. take a hard look, be very afraid.
