The Louisiana Senate has passed Senate Bill 303, a constitutional amendment protecting the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, by a 34 to 4 vote. This bill passed in the state House by a 77 to 22 vote last week and will now be placed on the ballot in November for voters to ratify. If approved by voters, it will be the most forceful and comprehensive pro-Second Amendment state constitutional amendment in the nation. Forty-four other states have provisions in their constitutions protecting the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.
