Nice, but Maryland citizens need this right OUTSIDE their homes as well!

So if the intruder doesn't intend to commit a crime, you have to just let them stay?!? Trespassing IS a crime. You don't need any more right than that to shoot dammit... at least not in Texas you don't!

I do like that this bill clearly identifies the theft of a firearm from a house as a second degree felony.

I do not like that they assume that if someone acts with malice that they are somehow still civilly liable. If someone is trying to abduct, kill, or rape a family member or their person; how are they expected to not have malice.
