Amtrack trains have U.S. Marshals on them. Just like commercial airliners do.
My girlfriend uses the train to go to Fort Lauderdale to visit family.
No picture I.D., no baggage security, no metal detectors, nothing.
My sister recently took the train to Connecticut from Florida as she is afraid of flying.
Same scenario here.
Switching trains in New York to go too Connecticut, she was not going to be let on the train without picture I.D.
She does not drive so she did not have a drivers license or picture I.D.
She had just traveled over a thousand miles with "NO" security checks, even going by our Nations Capitol.
What the hell is good security at one end with none on the other.
Bloomberg is a damn idiot.
McCarthrys husband might still be alive if there had been a licensed gun permit holder on that train.
