Mexican authorities say they were aware of the U.S. anti gun operation that allowed smugglers to buy weapons under the watch of agents in the United States, but they had no idea that the program allowed weapons to be smuggled into Mexico.

Honestly, officer, I only bought the guns and pot to SMUGGLE them, not USE them!

Obama just released an editorial calling for "sensible" gun laws to keep guns out of the hands of loonies and crooks. He ought to start by making it illegal for ATF to aid the smuggling of guns into Mexico. Then take the guys at the top who came up with it and adjudicate them mentally defective for the idea in the first place! That oughta take care of all the loonies and crooks he can actually affect with gun control laws.
