Michigan: He can carry an M-16, but not a concealed weapon
Kevontay Wingfield spent months with an M 16 at his side, but Michigan law won't let him carry a handgun on his hip when he steps outside of his Grand Rapids home. Wingfield, a member of the U.S. National Guard, recently discovered he is barred from obtaining a concealed weapons permit because he's only 19 and the law mandates applicants be at least 21.
