heres a response i got back.
Dear Mr. Elliott: Thank you for contacting my office in regard to House Bill 4490. I am extremely supportive of the commonsense reform that is included in House Bill 4490. By doing away with the inconvenience of the safety inspection certificate, gun owners won’t be burdened with this unnecessary paperwork and local police departments will be able to focus on promoting public safety, rather than worrying about bureaucratic forms. Because this legislation was only transferred to the Senate last week, we must still collect public comment, deliberate, and debate this measure. While I do not know when this will be completed and a final vote held, I assure you that I will be a strong advocate for this legislation during each step of the legislative process. Once again, thank you for contacting my office and urging my support for House Bill 4490. If I can be of any further service, please do not hesitate to call upon me. Sincerely, Alan Sanborn State Senator 11th District |
