Michigan Senate Judiciary Committee Approves Gun Owner Protection Legislation
 

Earlier today, the Michigan Senate Judiciary Committee voted unanimously to keep the personal information of gun permit applicants confidential and exempt from Freedom of Information Act requests.  Senate Bill 49, introduced by state Senator Thomas Casperson, passed in a 4 to 0 vote and is now eligible for a vote in the full Senate.

While I'm happy that it seems like it will come to pass, I'm disappointed that it would even need to come up.
