A number of different bills have been filed to create a sales tax holiday weekend on the sale of firearms, ammunition and hunting supplies: Senate Bill 2407 by State Senator Bob Dearing (D-37), House Bill 242 by State Representative Sam Mims (R-97), House Bill 396 by State Representative Philip Gunn (R-56) and House Bill 1207 by State Representative Warner McBride (D-10).
