That sucks, I hunt that area and if this passes it will limit my acess to these areas. I think that one of the parking areas I go to is town property, not sure, I'd better investigate before season starts. Don't want any issues, especally in NY. Anouther limit placed on us, it's bad enough there's so many use restrictions from the APA now, this will just kill the hunters $ from comming into the area too. Thanks for the heads up on this, I wasn't aware of this before. I might not get a NY hunting license this year after all, I didn't buy a fishing lic again, (5th year), this year as you now need to have a "use permit" to put your boat on Lake George, used to fish there allot before the permit came into being, guess they'll loose my license $ + what I spend while I'm there for hunting too. There loss!! I know of allot of others that won't be hunting there anymore, just like Lake George and the fishermen. Four or five of use used to fish there together before the permits, now none of us do. This area is a huge recreation area and if they just keep putting more and more restrictions on they will loose more sportsmans dollars in that area. We even stopped our ice fishing guide service on Lake George now, that was 20+ trips per year with 2-4 people per trip, that's a big loss they may not even be aware of, and that area can't afford it. They better think long and hard before they come up with anymore new laws.
