A burglar broke into the M&M Food & Beverage convenience store in Durham, N.C. while it was closed at around  2:20 a.m. An employee inside the store noticed the intrusion, retrieved a gun and shot the criminal in the leg. The burglar fled the scene, but was captured a few blocks away.The criminal faces charges of communicating threats, felony larceny and drug possession. Police have made clear that they do not plan to charge the store employee.
