The National Rifle Association announced plans today for a $40M campaign to paint Barack Obama as an opponent to Second Amendment rights. But the effort, first reported by Politico, doesn`t include -- at least as far as the NRA is specifying publicly -- a firm pitch for the presumptive GOP nominee, John McCain.
