?There is always laughter and a barbecue going on where the Nugent family gathers with friends,? writes Ted Nugent. ?So it was recently in Louisville, Ky., at what can best be described as the ultimate Ted Nugent party: about 50,000 of my closest friends gathered around the quintessential "we the people" grassroots American campfire of freedom at the 137th annual National Rifle Association family meetings.?

i met Nugent in germany in 1982, backstage after his show.

As a young kid, I loved his music, but in person, he flat out blew me away.
He is far more intelligent, wise, poised, and aware than the "Gonzo" image
would lead you to believe. Not surprised he has 50,000 'close' friends.
