Postak Obama: âIâm Not Going to Take Your Guns Awayâ

âIf youâve got a gun in your house, Iâm not taking it,ââ Obama said. But the Illinois senator could still see skeptics in the crowd, particularly on the faces of several men at the back of the room.So he tried again. âEven if I want to take them away, I donât have the votes in Congress,ââ he said.

Thumbs up Geez Thanks Obama.

Now my first thought on this was to give some wise ass answer.
Don't think for a second he can't take our guns away.
There is no doubt the antis are reading these gun sites. So to give them ideas how to do it is best not to do.
I know I know the old, they can pry this weapon from my cold dead hands answer.
But what that bastard will do is make it so difficult for us LEGAL gun owners to do anything with a weapon, as to make it unusable in public places.
That S.O.B. gets in and the whole country will turn into a Washington D.C. where the only ones allowed to carry a weapon in public will be the bad guys.
Time for a million person march on D.C. if he gets in.

c'mon, we know there would be hell to pay for anyone trying to "take" guns.
the left knows that all too well. they also know that legislation that makes ownership more difficult is easy to do. taxes, permits, prerequisite education, ammunition bans and surcharges as well as purchase logging.
forcing domestic firearms manufacturers out of business with restrictive engineering laws is step one. banning importation of firearms and ammo is step two. it's "for the children".
what effect do you think a law that prohibits the depositing of lead into the environment would have on shooting sports ? see any new skeet, sporting clays, and trap fields opening lately ? there are other ways to eliminate private ownership, it just takes more time to see the results.

Post flopshot.

Yeah were beating the same drum here bud.
That jerk gets in and we got trouble, big trouble.
I ordered something from Centerfire a month ago and asked them about some pistol they were advertising. One of those furrinn C&R pistols. Don't remember what it was.
They told me they sold 500 of them. Damn. 500. Said they had 250 on backorder. Now I know Centerfire is notorious for that backorder stuff, but if she was telling the truth WOW. Is this an indication people are getting worried about this next election and stocking up?
I heading out to the Sanford gun show in a few here. It will be interesting to report back on how sales are doing.
I'm not bringing my credit card. I'm not bringing my credit card. I'm. Ah what the hell I'll bring it. But I ain't using it.

i could have made a killing after the last AWB. i feared i would not be able to replace the rifles and hi cap mags so i held on to them. i honestly feel that if there is ever another ban it will not have the luxury of a sunset. i'm not sure they could go as deep as to ban possession but it wouldn't surprise me if we were graced with an amnesty period during which we would have to register rifles and turn in hi cap mags. if they can ban a bayonet lug they can do most anything.

I'm stocking up on ammo, and mags, I believe springs and other parts should be available and most optic's, a tax on ammo whould be Obama's choice, it would go thru this congress with Obama in office!!! They could say we didn't take your guns, and who needs more than a box of 20 rounds to hunt. Mags are cheap, as compared to ammo, sell all the stuff you really don't need and could get later, like bolt action hunting rifles, revolvers and such, optics, Look in your Gun safe and see what you really don't use and will be available latter even in a Obama world! Nows a Good time to get rid of stuff like that for hunting season etc... Top dollar now, alot of hunters will want to get some rifles a stuff this time of year. Wouldn't you want that saiga 308 for sure, or FAL, than a Rem 700???
