Several years ago, the Oklahoma Legislature passed a good-faith attempt at “Emergency Powers” protection for gun owners during declared states of emergency. When informed of this , state Senator Anthony Sykes (R-24) introduced complete “Emergency Powers” language to fill the current gap in the state riot control statute.
