Pizza delivery `hero` feels more like victim

Every job has a downside. Pizza delivery people get stiffed or sent on wild goose chases. Customers want to know what took them so long or why the pepperoni is cold. Until now, nobody had put a gun to James William Spiers` head and demanded his money. He was sure he was going to die, a feeling he`ll never forget. Spiers, meanwhile, is convinced he wouldn`t be here today without his handgun, and nothing anyone can say now will change his mind.

And yet, Pizza Hut says it was against their policy for him to carry while on the job and word is they plan to let him go.

"We have policy against carrying weapons," said Vonnie Walbert, vice president of human resources at Pizza Hut's corporate offices in Dallas. "We prohibit employees from carrying guns because we believe that that is the safest for everybody."

Obviously she doesn't deliver pizza.

Yes it is safer..............for there pocket book.
So they don't get sued if the person uses the gun and misses.
They don't care if someone gets shot for $20 and change.

Damn. Here is a guy working his ass off to support his daughter and he has to have problems. What the hell is happening in this world.
Thank God Fla. just became a "NO RETREAT" state. Now this will help to free up the court systems if nothing else.
Before if you had a means of escape you had to take it. Now, within reason and using common sense. A person is allowed to defend themselves.
This should be the law everywhere.
